Refund Policy

Jewellery Items
At Sumuduni Gems, we take great care in crafting and selecting our jewellery. Please note:

  • Some jewellery items are made-to-order, and others are ready-made.
  • For made-to-order jewellery, once invoiced, the order cannot be changed or cancelled.
  • The deposit for made-to-order jewellery is non-refundable.
  • Any design changes to made-to-order jewellery after confirming the original concept will be quoted and invoiced in addition to the original quote.

If any item is faulty or the design differs from the original concept (for made-to-order pieces), we will work with you to make adjustments until you are satisfied. Please contact us immediately upon receiving the item. We will examine and repair it within a reasonable timeframe if required.

Please ensure your jewellery is insured against any loss or damage following delivery.

Returns and Exchanges
Sumuduni Gems accepts returns for all orders, including ready-made and loose sapphire purchases, under the following conditions:

  • Items must be returned in their original condition, along with any supporting documents (e.g., gem identification report) and the original invoice, within 14 days of delivery.
  • You must contact us prior to returning the item to receive return instructions.

Return Guidelines:

  • Items must be returned using an express, insured shipping method, such as UPS, DHL, or FedEx.
  • Import taxes imposed by your home country (if applicable) and the postage costs for returning the item are non-refundable and must be borne by the buyer.

Refund Processing:

  • Transactions, including returns, will be processed in the original invoiced currency. The refunded amount may vary in your currency due to exchange rate fluctuations at the time of refund.

This generous 14-day return policy allows you to inspect the item and ensure it meets your personal taste and expectations.
